The tradition of Brides maids was started in order to protect a bride during her journey through dark woods to her wedding. Bandits, natural and unnatural, were known to attack the wedding party to steal gifts, taint the bride’s purity and ravage the brides maids. In order to fool bandits, they would all dress in the same color. This is the Maid of Honor that protected her bride with her life and now haunts Dutton Woods where bits of the carriage can still be found.
